Saturday, May 1, 2021. 9 AM to Noon.

This event will allow residents to give back to their community by picking up litter, removing invasive species and assisting with maintenance in the 10-acre neighborhood park located in northwest Rochester Hills. We are inviting neighborhood residents, city residents, families, friends, nature enthusiasts, and everyone in between to participate!

Volunteers will work on many different projects, but some potential projects include: removing trash and debris, raking leaves, moving downed tree limbs, and pulling invasive plants. Volunteer Leaders will be on site to welcome you and guide you to a park clean up project.  An Arborist from the Rochester Hills Parks and Natural Resources department will be guiding the vegetation and invasive species work.   Everyone should wear lace up shoes, and bring along a pair of gloves, a mask, and water to drink. We also recommend that you bring yard tools like pruning shears and rakes if you have them.

COVID-19 Protocol
This event will follow the State of Michigan Public Health Guidelines which allow outdoor gatherings of up to 300 people with the following restrictions.  All attendees must:  Wear a mask; Stay at least 6 feet away from others who do not live with you; Stay home if sick or have been near someone who thinks they may have or have been exposed to COVID-19.

DIY Projects
Whether you are not yet comfortable with volunteering in a group event just yet, or just like to work at your own pace, our Do It Yourself Volunteering Program may be just the thing for you. If you sign up for the DIY Program we will assign a project that best fits you and your schedule.
